I'm grateful to the Herald/Review's taking the time to cover the Refuse Enterprise Fund issues with two separate articles in the December 11th paper. I did, however, feel the need to submit a letter to the editor to clarify a couple of points. You can read my letter here. You can also read the articles I wrote my letter in response to here and here. All fees and rate changes are set to take effect in March of 2020, and the council will be voting on the changes to the rate at the beginning of next year.

This past year has felt like one of the fastest years of my life. I've learned a great deal and have worked hard to make decisions that are well informed, thoroughly thought through, and are in the best interests of the people of Sierra Vista. I am so grateful for your continued support over the past year and truly hope that this blog has helped keep you informed on what I've been working on over in City Hall. I plan to have one more blog post up before the end of the year covering what I learned at the 2019 City Summit, so watch your inbox for that. And as always please contact me at Carolyn.Umphrey@SierraVistaAZ.gov with any comments or questions. I love hearing from you!
