Life in Sierra Vista means an almost symbiotic relationship with Fort Huachuca. Even people that do not work on post still interface with people from the post on nearly a daily basis by selling them groceries, fixing their cars, or talking to them at the gym. With a city as closely entangled with the post as Sierra Vista is, it was nice to attend the Military Affairs Committee Luncheon - June today at the Thunder Mountain Activity Center.
The MAC Luncheon was an opportunity to recognize the top Civilian, Army Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO), Marine, Air Force NCO, Instructor, and Soldier for their outstanding work. Even though I have friends and family that work on Fort Huachuca, I had no idea how many more programs there were! It was really neat to see more of what is happening on Huachuca.
