During our final City Council Meeting this month, City Council unanimously approved a mid-year 4% pay increase for full time and part time city employees. This is an action our council has wanted to take, and I'm grateful to be part of a council that recognizes the importance of increasing compensation now and not later this year to better ensure we can continue to retain and attract the best staff in this highly competitive employee market. Council will be revisiting the entire compensation plan again in April.
